Zachs Story

Zach is my 5 year old son,hes a miracle as in august 03 when he was 4 weeks old his daddy tried to murder him,he shock him so hard and throw him,that zach substained multiple injuries and broken bones,zach fought and fought and pulled though but his life was forever changed,his father never paid probally for the crime and died a year later which to me is still the easy way out,as zach now suffers daliy with the effects of sbs,and his big brother as to deal with lot,the reason i made this is alot of people who work with zach or come across zach have never heard of sbs and do not know the full effect of sbs on a surviour,and as they grow things change all the time,to look at zach you would think he was a normal 5 year old little boy,as his mummy the pain will never ever go away,of that day in aug 03 when the drs told me what had happend to him.love zachs mummy

ambers story part 2

To day Amber finished the Avernue pre school for the last time.in the time she has been there she has made some amazing progress.Everyday is a challange for Amber her pre school went out of there way to help Amber And I carnt thank Diana and Ambers other teachers enough for all they have done.I am soo proud at how hard my daughter trys.But at the same time it breaks my heart to know Amber could of lived a diffrent life free of all her problems.SBS is perventerbal plsease invite people to join Ambers group so we can keep spreading the word and making more people awear of sbs .Thankyou to every one who has joined and taken time to read Ambers group. This week Amber started School. For Any parent and child the first day at school is scary, but for Amber we had all the other addid worrys that a child with SBS brings.Ambers school are being great and are helping Amber in every way possible to settle her in.She has a sn stament in place.I am very proud of my little girl for getting this far.I would just like to thank everybody for joing Ambers group and all your supporting posts.When i started this group to tell Ambers story and raise awareness for SBS, I never imangend that My Daughters story would reach so many people and help to make people aware of sbs and to meet others who have been threw this.This means a lot that are message is getting out.Please keep inviting othere people to join and cheak out other groups for SBS as a much awareness there is the more chance of saveing a babys life or a life free of problems Thankyou.This week saw Amber have her 4th birthday (2nd June) and when I think of what she has been threw and how far she has come it both breaks my heart and makes me proud of my Daughter as she never gives up and trys so hard in every thing she does.Amber you are so strong my darling and so so beautifull .Happy 4th birthday lots of love Mummy, Katie and RosexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxTo day (28 July) Amber has been confermed to have Swine Flu. This is very worrying for us as with Ambers SBS she does not have the understanding of why she needs meds or to drink at the moment she is very poorly I am hopeing she will start to feel better with the meds and will keep you all posted on how she is doing.Thankyou again for all your support it truly means alot to us in the fight aganst SBS .Amber mummy is praying you make a speedy recovery and are not to effected by this lots of love and hugs my sweet girl xxxxUp date on Ambers swine flu (29 July)Last night we had to have a Dr come out as even with the calpol and ibuphrone her temp was staying at 40.She was also refushing to drink and had vomited badly after i had manged to get Tamiflu into her.The Dr adviced to stop takeing the tamiflu as Amber was reacting to it and was makeing her worse.She spent a restless night with her temp going up and down and has a very nasty cough.To day she has manged to get her temp down a bit wich was enough to get some juice into her and have a bowl of soup.She is now sleeping again she is very scared as with her SBS she has no understanding why she is ill, but I think she understands that im there and am doing my best to get her better. Amber mummy loves you so much and i pray you come threw this ok xxxxxxxxxxUpdate on Ambers swine flu(31 July)Amber woke up today and seems to be on the mend her temp has gone down and shes was able to eat breakfast shes still week and needs to rest but looks like she will make a full recovery from this.We are all so proud of the strengh that Amber has and was able to fight this off.xxxx Amber has now made a full recovery from Swine flu and apart from her ongoing SBS problems is back to being a healthy happy little girl who we are all very proud of xxLEASE COULD EVERYONE WHO IS UK BASED TAKE 5 MINS TO SIGN THE PETITION FOR LIFE INPRISONMENT FOR ALL SBS OFFNEDERS IN THE TOPICS BELOW.THANKYOUTHIS MAY MAKE A DIFFRENCE AS IF ENOUGH PEOPLE SIGN THEN THE LAW COULD GET CHANGED.LINK TO PETITION BELOW ASWELL AS IN TOPICShttp://petitions.number10.gov.uk/SBSISMURDER/

This Is Ambers Story

On the 20th of January 2006 Amber Haynes was left fighting for her life after being attacked at her home while in the care of marc wilkes. she was seven months old. The medical report lists Ambers injurys as right frontal subduaral haemorrhage, severe bilateral retianal heamorrhage, greenstick fracture left distal tibia, occipital skull fracture. Amber had been attacked and shaken!It took two days for marc wilkes to confess to the police what really happened on that day. He shook Amber he told her to 'shut the fuck up' then threw her against a wall then picked her up and threw her in to the play pen full of toys. He then left her to die, Amber then was left fighting for her life.But thanks to the fantastic team at Wycombe Hospital and John Radcliffe Hospital she survied, but now has brain damage which is the result of many problems. People need to be made aware of S B S as it is the only way to prevent this from happerning.One child is to many!.
